How many times have you sat your driving test and have you passed?

i have passe now and have had my licence for years but i lost count of how many tests i had!!! i think i had 3 when i was in my teens then another 3, it must of been 6 th or 7 th time!!! but of course it was never my fault...it was the ohter car drivers!!! or the examiners!!!!!!!

First of all, practice a whole lot more. If you're driving a big car, especially a minivan, try and see if you can rent something tiny so it will be easier to maneuver. As to your nerves, try meditating beforehand, and you need to try and find some sort of trigger - a thing that calms you down. It can be a movement, something you tell yourself, or even a scent (if you're taking it in your own car air fresheners work great for this) that just puts you in a calm place - this can take training though, its a bit like animal training where you get your mind to associate that trigger with a very calm and relaxed sensation. Other than that you can buy homeopathic remedies at GNC or online and chamomile tea will work if it doesn't make you sleep first!

automatic - passed first time (on the morning of 11th September - that was a fun day!)
taking my manual test in mid November this year.
i had to have an operation on my left wrist (I'm in the UK before anyone says it shouldn't make any difference!) to repair some damage to the tendons, and it took about 3 months to get full mobility back. once i had enough movement to safely control a car, i took automatic lessons and passed. 6 years on, now is the first time that I've had the freedom from physio, the money and the time to learn on a manual!
A friend of mine passed on her 8th (yes, eighth!) time. She has just bought a deathtrap (well, classic car) with no seatbelts. So as far as i'm concerned, she now has no vehicle. She's insisting i have to come out for a drive - i will, so long as I'm in my car and don't have to set foot in hers!

I passed on my fourth, I didn't get in the car on first one as I failed the number plate test, now THAT was embarrassing!!! When I did pass, I thought I failed right at the beginning so I wasn't stressed for the rest of the test and really relaxed through all the manoeuvres, when the instructor told me I had passed i kissed him!
