Does it make polish last any longer if you buff your nails before applying ? Also does a base coat make a big difference ?

yes especially if your nail beds are oily...buffing them will allow the polish to adhere better and stay longer... the base coat is very important it prevents the polish from bleeding into your nail beds

I always use a base coat, and yes, it does help my polish last longer. Buffing just makes my nails look smoother. It helps with appearance, but not with making polish last longer. A base coat will also keep your nails from yellowing if you wear polish every day like me. I haven't went without polish for like 25 years :-)

i dont know about the buffing but, the base coat,it makes the color look much more rich and substantial. it looks more professional. on top of that it helps with non chipping.
