People say that they want to hear the truth but they really dont, but thats not for everyone. I personally respect someone whos honest vs. someone who lies. It takes more of a man/woman to be honest and more of a coward to hide behind a lie. The truth is some things sometimes do need to be curb. Ive been called abrasive, cruel but it all depends on the person how I relay the message im trying to get across. But being honest can be brutally so, or just in a gentler way. It all depends. Particurly are the cases of the people who are in a bad relationship and they know they are yet they continuously go back and want to hear soothing words to remain in their denial. Its the way of the world, an invisible masquerade we've all been a part of from the day we were brought into the world.

No one needs to hear the honest truth ALL the time. There is such a thing as digression. Use of judgement....
Telling everyone you like the thought of another man pleasuring you with his tongue is TOO MUCH INFORMATION. IF I ever met you that is all I would think about. You don't divulge things like that to people you don't know. You CAN be honest and truthful with people when they have shown themselves to be trustworthy. Its about mutual trust and reciprocation. I tell you things, you tell me things.
Saying you wish to rob a bank so you can have a pile of money makes you seem like a really shallow, selfish person. THAT is why its not wise to tell people all your deepest darkest thoughts.
There is nothing wrong with people being open, honest, truthful......(if you are tactful with it) but you should wait for people to ASK you things.

Well,if you can't be honest in this planet, you can't be honest at all - unless NASA provides us with the excellent news that it is actually possible to live in Mars. Now,seriously, you can be honest, you know you can. What you don't know is whether you can face the consequences of such honesty. I'm very honest and, naturally, the consequences are good and sometimes bad and I just go on happily with my life. I know that the option of being honest brings consequences with it so the real question is: can you face them? Well,I can. The state of mind you get by speaking it up is so good that no critical judgements could remove that...

As much as I appreciate honesty, sometimes things are just better left unsaid. You can be honest with someone you truly trust that will not judge you, but fair or not people that don't know you generally judge you by your appearance, behavior and speech.
Our behaviour and thoughts are driven by our upbringing (nurture) or culture and environment, and sometimes those factor produces a person that is simply not a good fit with people from with different sets of morals, culture, and beliefs.
If you don't want to offend others then you have to know when it is appropriate to be honest and when to hold back.

The fact that a lot of the things that we 'think' are taboo thoughts in our society. Everybody has them, they 'pop up' totally unbidden in our minds because that's the way the human mind works. It's probably the best 'random generator' in the Universe.
But telling those close to you your deepest thoughts, hopes, fears, etc. is called 'intimacy' and it's something that there's far too little of these days.

It's called social mores.
For instance, I'm sure your wife or girlfriend would be pleased to hear that you like the thought of another man pleasuring you with his tongue.
You don't have to lie - you just have to keep your gob shut at the right time.
