Hector was really a great character. He was valiant in defending his stance with righteousness, protecting his family and people from their aggressors,..even to the point of risking his own life for his brother's blind passion. Yes, I admire his courage and principles.

On the other hand, Achilles had likewise exceptional courage. He was strong, brave and determined. He was loaded with pride until 'someone' lovingly took a part of it.

Love really conquers even the most powerful conqueror.

Well, let's see. The war was started by the actions of a Goddess and a love spell she applied to Paris and Helen. Hector was trying to defend his city and his lovestruck brother. Agamemnon wanted to whack an entire nation because his Helen walked off with Paris. Achilles sent Petroculus into a battle while he diddled in his tent, then got all worked up when his buddy got himself dead.

Answers got to be Hector.

Achilles because he fought for the Greeks and the Trojans were the ones that started the war. I am really anti- war so that plays a big part in my decison. I mean come on, you want a woman ssssoooo bad that your willing to start a war, that in the end will not only lead to your downfall, but your entire city? So stupid.

Hi Rena:

I admire Achilles more for he is a formidable warrior and considered as the most fearless Greek fighter of the Trojan War, the war between the Greek and Trojan that lasted for a decade. He sought the glory fighting at Troy.

A good memory recall in one of my favorite subjects in English. Thanks to your question in Greek Mythology. I love this subject.

Have a great day!

Achilles..he didn't have near as much as what Hector had, but he fought like he did. And, he was good at what he did, he fought whole heartedly
