la la lena - I think its district of columbia that is considered our 51st state. Alasa & Hawaii were the 49th & 50th.

I would gladly welcome you as our 52nd state. I love British people.

1)Who is this "we" you speak of. I have no idea where you're from.

2) I think we need a 51st star before we can get to the 52nd star, but I'm really bad at social studies and we may have picked up a 51st since I was in school and I just don't know about it yet.

No, darling, Britain may not become our "52nd" state. That "privilege" is likely reserved for that malarial little island just south of Florida.

I certainly would NOT want to classed in ANY way with our Ex Colonial Cousins - enough is enough; let them reach maturity by themselves. I am not British- I am English and I would think other UK cisizens mainly consider their home country first "British"(?) whatever that may be, afterwards.

I thought they made a film called 51st State which was set in the UK with that big fella (I forgot his name) and the other fella who used to be Hamish Macbeth (I forgot his name as well. Two big stars and I can't remember their names.

Can I ring a friend?

I think the two territories that have the best shot at statehood would be of course Porto Rico and Guam, i am really hoping Guam gets it
