on my property and adjoining ones which Wimpeys knew about but didn't tell us - can I hold them liable for not telling us?

Exactly how do you think they are Liable for the actions of the vandals ?

If you are suggesting that damage to the property has not been correctly repaired, then I guess you MIGHT have a claim, especially if Wimpey did the repairs, under the Guarantees that came with the house ...

I suggest you read up on the Guarantees - there may well be some time limit to claiming (for example) that, whilst removing graffiti, solvent damage was caused eg. to the lawn ..

Firstly talk to your solicitor who dealt with your purchase and see what they have to say.
2nd goto the Office of Fair Trading site and talk to their advisors.They also have great word templates to send to Wimpey.

No, they don't have to tell you that. They don't even have to tell you if someone dies in the house.
It's tasteless for them to withhold such information, but not illegal.

Was there any damage extant when you moved in? If not, I doubt there's any liability.
