they make smaller versions....you dont have to get a big one right now. my daughter got a little power wheel four wheeler for her first christmas.....she was 10 months old. she loved it. we had to push the button for her for a while but she got the hang of it. if you get a smaller one they dont go as fast

It's too soon. My in-laws did that and he was unable to operate it. My husband had to walk alongside to move the car and steer it. It was horrible. My in-laws started buying 3+ toys the moment my son was born. They found the toys more "fun", but I called them "dangerous". Never let your child use a toy that isn't meant for their age range. One reason is -- if your child gets hurt while using it -- you can't sue the company, even if the product was "defective" just because you used it improperly. Do you want the power wheels to collect dust for a year or more? Make sure you only get toys for your child's age range. Getting them older toys doesn't make them learn how to use them faster. Get toys that can benefit your child NOW, not in a year or two. You'd just be asking for trouble. Just put off buying it until your son reaches the age requirement.

Way too soon---he can't use it yet. (He's just barely old enough to have his car seat turned around and that is only if he weighs enough---most docs say keep them rear facing as long as you can :0)

Wait a year or two when he can drive the thing---right now you'll be spending money on something he can't use. When he finally can use it, it will be a couple of years old.

Wait and get him the new model when he's three.

Remember: you can't even drive him around in it if you wanted to unless you weigh about 50 pounds because they have a weight limit.
