Yo Wendy
One of the most harassing things ABOUT the cut and paste utility in XP is the fact that you have mentioned herein
However there are several programs that are available for you that allow you to do exactly what you are needing to do here -- there are at least three that I know of that are Free
These are known as Clipboard Utilities and -- the one that I use is called ------------- Ditto -------------- you should be able to find it at the link that I am providing you herein --- click the link --- once at the site --- enter the program name into the search box and --- away you go----------->>>

Happy cut management --- and --- pasting Joy !!!!!!!!!

You can only do one new thing at a time on the clipboard. You need to paste each one onto a document before adding the next to the clipboard. Bummer, but otherwise the clipboard eats up too much RAM. You can, however, cut/copy LARGE amounts of stuff and paste that - so if you want paragraphs #1 and #3, you can grab #'s 1, 2, and 3 and then just cut out #2 later.
