Fabric Depot will give you 40% off if you buy the bolt (http://www.fabricdepot.com -- then look for "wholesale").

Are you regularly buying by the bolt/roll? What sorts of fabrics? I may be able to make some better suggestions if I know more.

You may want to get on the mailing list at your local Jo-Anns fabric store. They will mail you coupons that you can use online. 50% off a bolt of fabric can be a good deal, if the shipping's not too high.

Fabricdirect.com

I purchased a bolt of fabric from them a few years ago for my bridesmaid dresses, and the quality was really good. Plus it was cheaper than purchasing by the yard through other companies!

i'm a sewer too! i think you should start with handkerchiefs. just sew something on one of the corners, then sew a border. make sure whatever you sew isn't to small. i would say fold the handkerchief so it's in four triangles, then take one of them, and sew something on it or half of it. when you've made a few handkerchiefs, set up a small table on your street or in front of a grocery store. you can also always ask friends or family if they want to but any. good luck , and HAPPY SEWING!!!!!!!!!!!!!
