The best business for a mother is taking care of other children in the home. Since you are taking care of one adding another 2-3 wouldn't take you much more.
Online business's are mostly scams unless you start your own like web design but most people don't have the knowledge. Selling on eBay is a good on line business.

I'm a stay at home mom of 4 kids under the age of 7yrs old. I tried just about every home based business out there only they weren't "home based!" You had to go out and do parties in other people's homes, deliver products, etc....

I finally found something that most people need and want and it sells itself. I just show them how to send a card and set them up on a gift account and they decide if they want to use the system or not. I can do it from anywhere I'm at as long as the other person can be at their computer, I can be playing at the park with my kids and walk them through it and sign them up right on the website.

I'm making more money each week than I was when I worked full time. I also never forget a birthday or anniversary with this system....

You can send actual greeting cards right from your computer in your own handwriting and signature. You pick the card or create your own, type your message, click send and the company prints your card off, stuffs it in an envelope and puts a first class stamp on it for you and mails it out...it's so easy.

My contact info is on the website if you are interested.

Direct Sales which backs into Network Marketing. It is the only form of distribution that bridges the gap between the part timer who needs to stay at home with their children and can only afford minimal investment to start up and wants to make ongoing residual income. Its not unusual to make a six figure income part time for a couple of hours a day.

Once you have a team of other stay at home moms (business partners and business developers) growing your business... And it doesn't matter how far away they are if the company is open in that area... You make residual income from a consumable and reusable product month after month from other people ordering the product or service through your team of people who then develop their team of people.

It is essentially, you working your 10 hours a week, leveraged off of other business builders working their 10 hours a week. So, its 10X10 equaling a 100 hours of work a week, that you don't have to do.

Because there is no middle man and no millions of dollars of advertising costs before the company sells anything... The money goes into the quality of the product or service and it drives the price low enough to create a fair mark up to distribute a percentage to the organization who is actively building a business.

In traditional retail, they mark up products on average, 300%. In Network Marketing, they mark up a ridiculously low 40% on average. _

I work for cookie lee and it is all mine. All you have to do is get a catalog show it to your friends and family and anyone you come in contact with get some orders and then you never have to worry about inventory. You make 50% profit. I love that. You get the kit off your first order wear the affordable jewelry and then sell it right off of you if you would like. You make friends and have an icebreaker to meet more moms. If you would like to see the affordable line check it out at www.cookielee.com let me know if you have any questions.

A online travel store is something to consider. I prefer not to give details or provide a link here in the answer. However, I am sure that you know how to find the link with the info and how to contact me.

Do you have a passion or knowledge about something that you can share online with people?

I have a website that I created all about Standard Poodles that is making me a monthly income from Google Adsense ads that I have on it and from affiliate sales.

You don't need to be a computer expert to set one up. Check out this page on my site about how I did it. It also has links to how others created their sites.
