I probably wouldn't live in a house that someone had committed suicide in. But, if I owned the house, then yes, I would tell people. I think that there is a law that says you have to disclose that information. Not 100% sure of that though.

Yes to both parts of the question. I have no qualms about being in a house where someone has taken their own life. And it'd surely be in my best moral interest to disclose any such information. (Not sure how you'd broach that - maybe if the potential renter asked?)

Never, I wouldn't even consider it. I know a house that is for sale, its previous owner was murdered and believed to have haunted the house til this day. He was killed 3 years ago. The house is still for sale in the Philippines. It's a beautiful house though, it's a beach front house in an island called Bohol. Scary stuff aye?

I would tell them. I lived in a house once that had the bathroom tile painted white, didnt question it. A couple months later decided to take the paint off of the tile to see what the tile looked like and in the tub there was a bullet hole. Come to find out, a man had lived there before, found out he had cancer and shot himself in the head on mothers day while his wife and mother were shopping :(

NO I would not buy a house where someone committed suicide.
And I wouldn't own such a house, because I wouldn't buy such a house.
:)

It would depend on the house, a suicide would not sway my decision. Some weird stuff happened in my house, found some very odd carvings in the ceilings and mouldings. Just removed it and remodeled, made it our home.

I think you have to tell them what happened in the house (At least I know when you buy it has to be disclosed) I couldn't live there, but a suicide would be better than a murder!

I would have second thoughts about living in it, and I would tell renters that someone had killed him/herself in it.
