Allergies are possible. I use a cool mist humidifier in my bedroom where I sleep and the problem you speak of disappeared. That is a ritual every winter now. It could be seasonal affective disorder but with SAD you don't have the physical symptoms you describe

Check out the ragweed in your area...I lived in Georgia and had the same problem. Allergies can cause sore muscles and sinus problems can cause a slight headache.
Check to see how to keep pollen levels down in your home, such as removing carpets and drapes that hold pollen. Wipe down surface areas and do not leave windows and doors open. Do not drive with your windows open. Check for clean air filters and change often. You many have to wear a face mask to mow the yard. You many need an air filter designed for allergic children.
You may be able to get a pamphlet from your Dr. Office or look on line for a professional doctor to advise you. If you do not detect an improvement. You will need a professional doctor to do a study and test you for allergens.
This type of allergy can really put a dent in your income after a while. NV

It could be allergies, but it could also be seasonal affect disorder. You might want to buy yourself a lamp that gives off light like the sun does, they say it helps with those down, blue feelings. When you get more natural light like you do in the summer months you feel so much better.
But it wouldn't hurt to see your doctor to see if you do have allergies & the fall & winter months ther is dust, molds, mildew outside & some inside your house. You could get an air purifier to see if that helps.

Due to the change of the weather you body have to adjust to the different seasons that come around for most people this lasts for a few weeks im here in the midwest and we get all types of weather so i kinda know the feeling, Atl is a little different try just going to bed earlier and waking up to so cocoa or cofee and maybe a nice hot shower to relax the muscles it should work if not ask your doctor.

sounds like could be SAD or seasonal affect depression due to the lesser amount of sunlight you are exposed to
see your doctor and find out if a sunlamp used for a specific amount of time a day can help relieve your symptoms BUTit does not give you a scratchy throat or congestion
most likely
seasonal allergies indoors when the area is closed up and dust is present
use shades not blinds
avoid carpeting in the bedroom and heavy dust catching drapes
an air purifier or humidifier in your bed room might also help

It is possible that you are suffering from SAD --an acronym for Seasonal Affective Disorder. Basically, as the days get shorter and shorter and you see less and less of the sun, your body begins to feel under the weather, literally.
Because of its association with shorter days and less light, it has been successfully relieved in many people with light therapy.
Try spending more time in well-lit rooms or brightly lit places. It just might make a difference.

You have a form of depression that is related to low light in Fall and Winter. Ask your Dr. about special light boxes you can use to help your moods.
