1. The fact that Hitler wished to invade Britain but knew he had to destroy the RAF before he did.
2. The pilots who were killed (on both sides)
3. I assume you mean 'pilots' and not a form of exercise. From all over the UK, what was then known as the Empire and countries such as Poland which had been overrun by the Nazis (on the UK side), from Germany on their side
4. Going around where? Enough drink, probably not enough food.

The Battle of Britain was an air war by Germany against Britain in August/ September 1940
It was supposed to be the prelude to the invasion of Britain by the Germans but they first had to destroy the R.A. F.
So the main targets at this stage for the German bombers were airfields and radar stations.
Most of the victims at this stage of the war were the pilots on both sides but there were civilian casualties too.
The Germans failed to destroy the R.A.F. and after September changed their tactics to mass bombing of cities and towns in which thousands of civilians were killed.
The pilots came from Germany, Britain, Poland, the British Empire, France, Holland, Norway,Czechoslovakia and even a few from the USA.
At this stage of the war there was enough food and drink although rationing of some items had started.
