Whose "Forever Young" is better, Alphaville or Rod Stewart and why?

Rod Stewart is the only one I know that sings "forever young"
but after listening to Alphaville version on Itunes, I would have to say Rod Stewart is better, now I remember hearing alphavilles version on Napoleon Dynamite.
