This question belongs more in religion and culture than politics in my opinion. I did watch the video, and it was interesting, but you can find religious and cultural historians who would support alternate views as well.

But to answer your specific question, some people doubt it because it does not make sense to them. People tend to believe what makes sense to them. And everyone has the right to their own opinions, believers and non-believers alike.

There is nothing new in this video. If you consider this some kind of enlightening epiphany, go back and study history some more. Christianity is about faith, at some point you have it or you do not.
