First answer is right for wrong reason. If r not = 1 that formula doesn't work.
Area of circle = pi*r^2
Area of quarter circle = pi*r^2/4 = 0.785 ft^2
When r=2, area is 4 times as large, 3.14.
pi*r^2/4 = 3.14
First answer's pi*r/4 = 1.57
