No, he's not. He is no more controversial than any other media outlet. I'm sure some people think he is, along with Rush, because they are Republicans...but that does not make them wrong.
Also, Imus was a scapegoat. He did nothing wrong. I can turn on the TV and hear the "N" word on almost any channel, but Imus says "Nappy Haired Hoes" and suddenly he's a racist? Talk about a double standard.

Well, he's saying his comments were taken out of context, and what he was trying to say was that some whites fear blacks without reason. That would have been a valid point. But what he said was how surprised HE was that a restaurant run and owned by African-Americans was run the same was a restaurant run and owned by whites, and the patrons acted the same way as patrons of an Italian restaurant in a white suburb. Now, had he said that many whites would be surprised at this, he would have been doing what he claimed. But by saying "I couldn't get over the fact," he clearly is showing that the racial perceptions he's attacking are his own as well as other's. Maybe he just misspoke, or maybe he said what he was actually thinking. Either way, simply saying the comments were taken out of context does nothing to address the situation.

I am not a huge fan of Bills but this is a ridiculous controversy. If you've heard the audio on any of the major news (radio or TV) they are misleading at best. They play two clips making it sound like it was one statement, when in fact they were said 4 minutes apart. Completely changing the meaning of his statement making him sound like a flaming bigot. It's a cheap game and it will not work. People only have to look into it for themselves to see what is really going on.

No.
Media Matters and George Soros is after him, but they are just a leftist liberal communist idiots no one really cares about anyway. But CNN and NBC will quote them anyway.
I personally dont particularly care for Bill Orielly.... but he does have the highest ratings in cable news for his time slot, and a lot of people love him.
Last time I checked, we still have free speech in this country. Imus should not have been fired, and nothing will happen to Bill.

Not even close
Media Matters (where this story originated) is a left wing liberal rag that loudly proclaims itself as:
Nonprofit progressive research and information center dedicated to comprehensively monitoring, analyzing, and correcting conservative misinformation in the U.S. media. ...
Now what does that say about them except that they like to bash people who aren't liberals
Even Al Sharpron says this crap is trumped up- Straight out of the New York times:
The Rev. Al Sharpton, whom Mr. O’Reilly had been dining with when he visited Sylvia’s, appeared on Mr. O’Reilly’s television show last night and said he wanted to hear the radio show before reaching any conclusions. “You and I have gone to dinner before in Harlem, and I’ve never heard you say anything offensive,” Mr. Sharpton said
Below click on the links for some real insight-
They shouldn't mess with Bill- they aren't smart enough to yank his chain and get away before getting bit.
Let the fun begin.

Bill Oreilly hasn't done anything to be taken"down".Don Imus didn't either really. At least he didn't deserve to be villified to the extent that he was.(My Lord!!!,,,I just defended a liberal!!!!!!,,,I need to check my temperature!!!!)However,Imus was just a locally carried show I think. He reached only a small market, wearas Oreilly is known globally. No,Oreilly has nothing to worry about.

When you are as pitiful as the liberals are you will stoop to new levels of low to destroy someone. It always comes back at you when you seek to destroy a voice of reason.

Going down on Imus, I never heard that, but anything is possible.
Sorry, I misread. I don't know.
How the hell do you pronounce "Orielly" anyway? Surely it's "Bill O'Reilly" you speak of.
Don't actually know much about him do you?

I wish, but he is actually kinda funny to watch as he is so over the top. Anyone with a brain can see through his beyond bias on the air. He's sort of like the Brittney Spears of cable news.
