I would have thought these days everything was 'on-line', direct to your Bank Account (especially given how easy it is for a Cheque to be lost in the post == you would have to be made to make it out 'to the bearer' :-) )

In fact, I would have thought the "Debenture" itself would only exist in electronic form these days .. in the old days, Bearer Certificates (because the original purchaser could sell on the Certificate) would have been issued ...

Indeed this is so unusual that I wonder if you have you received some out-of-the-blue junk email suggesting you can claim some massive 'fortune' if only you pay them some 'up front fee' eg. for Courier to bring you your Cheque ??

If so, you are about to become a victim of a 419 Advanced Fee Fraud scam.
