Amazingly enough, me and my two best friends all got pregnant within a week of each other!! (not planned at all!!!)We are all extatic!! We were thinking instead of each of us throwing each other a seperate baby shower and having 3 showers in a month, we thought that it would be a cute idea to have a group shower! Do you think this is ok, or is this tacky?? Also, any cute ideas for invitations, or party ideas?

A group shower is okay as long as everyone invited is friends with ALL three of you. No one wants to feel uncomfortable there or feel obligated to buy a gift for someone they don't know or may not like.

A group shower- thrown by someone besides the three of you- would also cut down the cost of having three separate showers.

Hate to be the fly in the ointment here, but unless you're going to invite only people who know and like ALL of you (which means leaving out some relatives, coworkers, or friends of parents), this arrangement might be a bit uncomfortable for your guests, who might feel pressured to get a gift for someone they don't even know.

It might also be a financial strain for some of your friends to come up with three gifts in one day, rather than spreading it out over a few weeks.

And a party for three pregnant ladies has the potential to take a long, looooong time to complete.

You girls will be just as cute going to each other's showers in equal stages of pregnancy.

Of course you can have a group shower that would be perfectly fine . well i got some miniature baby dolls and filled them into baby bottles as shower gifts and everyone loved them and asked me where I got them . The dollar store now has some really cute shower things and decorations . try there first and I think you will get some really cute things. good luck .

I think that although it sounds like a great thing, it got a HUGE potential to explode in your face.
It's a great exciting moment and you should be the center of the party, not 1/3 of it.
I had my baby shower 2 month ago and I must admit that being the center of the event was nice.
My friend made me the best diaper cake, she made it herself after finding it at www.thecookduke.com/make-a-diaper-cake
and it was the best gift I got.
Enjoy your party

I think it's a great idea..not tacky at all.
For your invitations you should put something along the lines that the guests don't have to bring a gift for the other girls, you don't want them to feel like they have to bring 3 gifts, especailly someone from your family that doesn't know one of your friends.

sounds like a great idea, and a lot of fun, get 3 showers done at once, but i agree with the last person you all should get another friend to throw it for youns. and i'd help her with the planning, so, if she has snacks theres somthing you all 3 like instead of just one person. good luck have fun and congradulations

Its a good idea! Especially if you all share the same group of friends. I would think the people that would be invited would be thankful to be able to do it all in one get together.
good luck to all of you

Group shower sounds great - but you should probably have another friend throw it for you. :)
