I didnt notice a faster loading time or anything like that. I did notice that it's lighter and thinner. I read that it was 100 grams lighter than the original model. I'm kinda weak, so I appreciate these things.. I dont think it's worth the upgrade if you already have a psp1000.

The new PSP Slim is a rip-off for any sensible PSP hacker. The Slim costs the same price, but is "slim" on all the features. It lacks an IR-port, bad for using your PSP as an Universal Remote, and also bad for wireless IR file transfer. It also lacks the slide for the UMD Door, meaning you have to open it manually. The Wi-Fi switch is moved to the top, meaning I have to take my hands off the PSP to turn it on. And When you buy the new Slim, the latest UNHACKABLE Sony issued FW is already installed on the system, meaning you have to get your hands on a JigKick to downgrade it, unneccesary if you already have a PSP-1001. So in short don't waste your money on buying a new "Slim on the features" PSP Slim...
