I've had a missed abortion. The fetus stopped growing at 6w3d. I'm now "11w5d" and nothing has happened. No spotting & very little cramping. My d&c is scheduled for Monday. I've been feeling faint and nauseous this am. I've read that's a sign of miscarriage. Should I be concerned with an infection?

Contact the doctor that will be doing your d&c, let him/her know your symptoms and see what they suggest. They might choose to do it earlier or start you on some antibiotics.Good luck, I hope you are better soon.

As far as an infection I'm not sure to be honest. I more or less wanted to share a story with you:

A friend of mine was preg, like you she went for an u/s and they say baby was not viable and to expect a m/c in a few days, well a few days came and went with no m/c. She finally went to the drs and they did another u/s and this time they saw the flickering of the heartbeat....That m/c baby is now almost 6 years old, alive and well.
Please before they do the d/c please ask them to check again, they might refuse but you can demand like she did. If it proves to be true than you know for sure, but......

I am sorry for what you are going through, I know it must be so hard and unerving. I think about some of teh posters on here after they post and I will be addig you to my list of thoughts.

Please call your ob/gyn and let him/her know that you are faint/nauseous. You may need to be seen much earlier than Monday.

I'm so very sorry about your loss, my heart goes out to you. I had a miscarriage a while ago, and required an emergency D&C a couple days later.

My physician gave me a shot to lose my toddler because of the fact it had no heartbeat.. I lost the toddler approximately 2 weeks latter. there became no discomfort or something i purely went to the bathing room and that i began out to bleed and then some thing got here out.
