It seems stupid people always think theyre smart or are unaware of their stupidity... like paris hilton.. or they know people think theyre stupid they just dont believe it..

Hell, I went to a renown university and I saw all sorts of dumb asses in that place graduate with honors. I always joke with friends about some of those people and say they probably had their maids do their homework for them. (it's funny how all the rich kids were geniuses in that place.) There's no way they could be an honor student and be so dim at the same time. A slip of paper doesn't insure intelligence in this country. You have to have book smarts AND common sense. Oh, and as far as Sotomayor is concerned, we won't know how she acts in the Supreme Court based on her past judgments. Some judges do a 360 when they are appointed to the SCOTUS. I'm not happy with her record on the federal bench; I think she made some pretty bad decisions, but her appointment doesn't concern me. She will be sitting en banc with 8 other justices, so she won't have the final say. Her judicial activism won't apply here.

I used to have a co-worker who thought that he was a genius; yet, building was spelled BIDNIL, home: HUME, box: BAX, valve: VALVAL, pipe: PIP, square: SQUAR, foot: FUT, concrete: CANCRETE, 8+7=17, 4+9=15, 11-5=3, 4' 9"= 49", square actually had 1-side and not 4 sides. There is a lot more to write down but you get the meaning. The sad part about this was the fact that he truly thought he was intelligent and he would argue with anyone that had the nerve to correct him but when we were working Langley Air Force installing a new water main for the Air Force, I had several officers including a couple of Full-bird Colonels and even a Two-Star General asked me "How can you stand working with that idiot?" How can a person respond to a question like that other than shrug your shoulders and say "I don't know."

In a word, no.
People, by nature, do not see their own shortcomings but will see everyone elses'. It is our responsiblity to do our best to realize our mistakes and better ourselves.
And I would use the Clintons as a better example. Hilton is an immature little girl, who was never taught how to act like an and be an adult. I pity her ,for she would never make it in the "real world."

The first thing that happens when you go crazy is you dont know your crazy. I suppose being stupid can apply to this situation. I try to stay away from dummies i am afraid it may be contagious. If you think that is foolish look at the hosing people got from the bakers,jimmy swaggert and jim jones only to mention a few

I think they must do. I know I can be stupid at times. The problem with Bush and Hilton is that they have people around them all day telling them how amazing and intelligent they are - eventually they start to believe this crap.
