because these people have nothing better to do with their time. That is why they are goths, emos etc.

people make fun of others, either consciously or subconsciously in an effort to make themselves seem better than the target. later in life we learn to make fun of ourselves to make ourselves better. i guess immaturity plays a key role in the poking of fun at others.
