1) learn how to use your life such that you can say you are truly alive, rather than just technically alive.
2) feel deep inside your body until you are able to realize what it means to be human.
3) figure out how to resist the influences of anything and everything, until you can truly say that you are an individual.

this is called enlightenment.

or you could try the boring, and relatively pointless route:
- finish school
- get a career
- get married
- have children
- make your children do the same thing
- retire
- get a hobby
- make your grandchildren do the same thing
- pretend you are enlightened
- die

Dreams can often become challenging, but challenges are what we live for

When you've got something to prove, there's nothing greater than a challenge. If we do not rise to the challenge of our unique capacity to shape our lives, to seek the kinds of growth that we find individually fulfilling, then we can have no security: we will live in a world of sham, in which our selves are determined by the will of others, in which we will be constantly buffeted and increasingly isolated by the changes round us
