Mate back on leave from army. Said watched a show where a woman took a donkey inside her on stage. The donkey had to wear rings to prevent too deep a penetration. This is in HM army, so are these things legal?

It is illegal in most countries. However, in many countries where western military bases have been built, bars, brothels, and sex shows strive to seperate the serviceman from his money. Each one will try to out 'gross' the other in order to attract an audience. As to those that doubt these animal acts happen, rest assured they do. Dogs, monkeys, lizards, snakes, donkeys, horses and the women who love them on the next Geraldo Live. Don't be naive, if you want to see it, there is someone willing to do it if the price is right.

Legal no. Its called "bestiality". On par with "necrophilia", copulation with corpses. But then all imaginable perversions have been with us from time immemorial, as witness all those punishments in Leviticus (Old Testament), see passage below. Why on earth would those Semitic tribes have such injunctions unless a lot of it was going on? And BTW, yes, maybe we put to death the men or women doing it, but why the animal? A bit unfair don't you think? :-). Philosophically, I would not support any law that constrains any sexual practice that had the mutual consent of the two parties (ok, ok, for groupie orgies, all must consent). But the poor animal was not asked, was it? It's rape. Unless it was grinning?

Beastility is not illegal but must downgrade the soul of that person.On stage it is done for so called entertainment but in reality the person is mentaly unstable and could well be suffering from Autism or a similar thing.This type of behaivour should be avoided at all costs owing to the Mental instability it would create and for health issues.

I'm not aware of any country in which bestiality is lawful.
