My personal opinion is that you are born it but some people are better then others at repressing their homosexuality. However alot of people seem to think you are "made" it so my theory seems to be in the minority. What are you opinions?
Thanks

I am pretty sure that a pregant woman sleeping around does not result in a gay child. That was funny!!

One of the reasons I asked this question was that a former assistant of mine was gay and was attracted to their best friend. Their best friend was not gay and had a girl friend. I later heard that my former assistant was seen walking hand in hand somewhere with their best friend and it was clear to people that they were an "item". I found this quite disturbing but then I thought that the best friend must have been gay too and hence dumped his girlfriend.

It has been proven over and over again that your born that way. All those that think other wise probably also believe that the world is flat and that global warming is a lie.

im sure there is probably some kind of genetic deal going on there, if we are talking about the real "gays". Society does play a big part in how people act, and how they are raised, so that may have some effect too, after all, if there is no stigma and its not a big deal, people may be more inclined to do it. I wouldnt, it just doesnt turn me on, but maybe thats because Ive been brought up that way.

I don't think we are 'born gay'. I think we are born as sexual creatures. However, before we actually develop our sex drive, society teaches 'right' and 'wrong'. I think that most kids are bisexual. They play doctor, and explore thier bodies naturally. Then, depending on a range of circumstances, they begin to develop a preference. Some don't choose, and remain bisexual. Many choose to be heterosexual, but still have homosexual desires. I think this is perfectly normal.

I'm going to get ripped for this one....but you are not born gay. God did not make anyone gay. He made Adam and Eve NOT Adam and Steve. And for those who have God in their lives and are gay...they contradict the bible and God himself. With that being said...... I do not think you are made into anything. You choose to smoke or not smoke, drink or not drink... I believe it is a choice that people make...for whatever reason..
Like I said...I'm going to get ripped about this, but everyone is entitled to their opinion...I respect yours, do the same for me.

Either can happen. I have seen examples of both. To the idiot who says it has been proven. How do you prove that?

I heard it comes from your mum sleeping around when she was pregnant, so you are exposed to semen from another man. Can anyone confirm this?
