seriously no!!! age is just a number i know ppl who are 20 and act like if they are 16!!! so no if he treats you right and doesnt pressure you into anythig and the both of you are happy no! i dont

Yes very wrong, and disgusting. Most people who do that try to rationalize by saying well a 26 year old can date a 20 year old, but the two are apples and oranges! The 6 years between 13 and 19 make a huge difference. I don't know if you are the 13 year old or the 19 year old, but if you are the 19 year old think back to how different you were at 13 compared to how you are now and should be ashamed of yourself for even thinking of dating a 13 year old, and if you are the 13 year old I promise you that 19 year old only wants one thing from you, and must be kinda creepy to not be able to get it from his/her own age group!

that is absolutely wrong no matter what the 2 people are like. usually in situations like this i'd say it depends on the maturity of the couple but that is WAYYY to big of an age gap for your age. a 13 year old shouldn't be dating anyone older than 15 and a 19 year old shouldn't be dating anyone younger than 17. that's sick. there's nothing wrong with you for wanting to date someone older, that's a normal desire although it's not the best idea. but there is definitely something wrong with any 19 year old wanting to/thinking it's ok to date a 13 year old.

well it just depends on what the 14 year olds parents think! I mean they are in control of them till they are 16 then they could get emancipated! But there are a few bad things about the age difference! like the 19 year old can do wahtever they want and the 14 year old still has school and 4 more years till they are 18! I'm only a month away and me and my b/f can't waite! He's 6 years older than me, but we didn't start dating till last year!

If I picture myself when I was 13 and then picture myself when I was 19, I was two completely different people. By the time I was 19, I had changed so much and was mostly on my way to becoming the adult I am today (I am 24 now). 13 and 19 is too much of an age difference. When you are young, because you are developing so much physically and mentally, 6 years seems like 20. However, when you are older and have done most of your maturing, 6 years does not seem like much at all. My husband is 9 years older than me, which does not seem like anything to me now, but it certainly would have if I was 11 and he was 20!

which is older? the boy or the girl? I always went out with older boys and I have to say that most of the attraction was the fact that they wanted the stuff that at 13 you aint supposed to be doing. It isn't right, but then the more you tell a 13 year old not to do something the more they will do it I expect. The thing is, most 19 year old boys are not that mature and so a 13 year old girl may be mature enough to handle it, but its unlikely.

Can we say statutory rape? Of course it's wrong. 13 is far too young to be dating. Supervised dates with someone of legal age is fine but letting a 13 year old go out with a 19 year old is just asking for a future teen parent and a dad that is going to run at the first thought of being a parent.

I am 14 and dating someone that age is wrong! It is illegal! It is definantly wrong for a 13 year old and a 19 year old to date!

That much of an age difference is ok when you are much older, but at that age they should stick with people their own age.
Now Im 18 and I like a 23 year old, theres about the same years between us, but what would make our being together if we ever were * wishes*, is that I am an adult.

It's not healthy. There are a lot of changes in your life between 13 and 19. You should be with people your age, doing thing that people your age do. Don't try to skip any part of your life. You will regret it. Don't forget there is no going back.

no, not necessarily.
That depends on the the two people involved and what the parents of the 13 yo have to say about it.
If they like each other and keep it platonic, and the 13 yo parents give their permission, then go for it.
BTW, there is nothing illegal about "going out" in any state, just don't have sex until you've reached the Age of Consent which is different in every state.
