I wouldn't take a chance of ruining it. I would take it to the cleaners.:)

Yes, and dont laugh. Mayonnaise (NOT salad dressing or Miracle Whip). Get a clean cotton cloth and a little dab of mayo and making little circles, go over the coat entirely. Do not make long wipes, make sure your make little circles and go back for more little dabs of mayo until each dab is worked in well until it cant be seen anymore. You'll probably need quite a few clean cloths as they become dirty. Then get more clean cloths, slightly dampened and I mean almost dry, with warm water to "rinse" and go over the coat again in circles. Let it hang and air dry and you have a very clean and shiny leather coat. THIS WILL NOT WORK ON PVC --- ONLY REAL LEATHER.

The finished leather panels can be cleaned with a normal leather cleaner, or a mild solution of woolite and warm water, followed by a conditioner ( do not use armor-al, or saddle soap, murphy's soap, mink oil, pure neatsfoot oil, dishwashing soap etc etc) the suede panels should not have any liquid applied to them. Have your hair dryer plugged in and close when you clean- if you inadvertantly get some moisture on the suede heat the area to flash of the moisture before it is allowed to create a stain.
Suede is just a leather that has be split from the epidermal layer, or the surface has been abraided. To clean suede you simply have to abraide off the soiled nap and bring up fresh nap. 3M sanding sponges work best ( the superfine Red grade) but 320-400 grit sand paper will work also.
Hope this Helps.

Many do not know about cleaning/ washing leather product at home, but they think water damages leather products. General detergent also damages the leather coats/jackets.

I did it at home with Leather-Clean which cleans your dirty, stinky, germy leather coats with water. After you wash, you won’t be able to stop smelling your clean leather. I think this will help you!!

To freshen it, hang it outside for several hours, in the shade. To "spot" clean at home, use a damp, almost dry, cloth to dap at the spot. If that doesn't work, use a professional leather/suede cleaner. (Most dry cleaners use one or can recommend one.)

if it is suede or has suede on it then it is best left to a reputable professional leather cleaner, if you try anything other than lightly brushing it (the suede, not the finished leather) at home, you could ruin it

Try baby wipes on the leather bits
