About 100 - 150 per day should cover it but obviously don't bring that in a lump sum use your ATM/Debit/Credit cards while you're there. Allow a little extra if you want to take the helicopter trip into the grand canyon - Brilliant

I know what you mean about the gambling - I was in Vegas for 5 days before and only gambled for 30min - 1 hr as there was so much to see and do!!! although I know some people go to the Vegas casinos and never see daylight LOL!

We're going back in 3 weeks - cant wait!!!

I've been going to Vegas every June for the past 10 years and yes it's hot! If you love to spend your day at the pool it's perfect. I would bring some type of hoodie or sweater for the casino's at night. It's so beautiful at night but you will freeze each time you walk into a casino. I really wouldn't recommend going to Vegas to spend time at the mall. It's just another mall, you can do that anywhere. There are so many gorgeous casino's to see and countless things to do. Don't waste your time and money on shopping. And bring shoes you can walk in! I usually bring $100-$150 per day, I don't gamble much at all. I love to go just to sight see and watch all of the interesting people, it's my "girls getaway" every year. You mentioned New York New York, they have a fun dual piano bar! If you like to have a few cocktails, Carnival Court is a blast! It's down by between Harrah's and The Flamingo. As far as shows....it depends on your taste, there is something for everyone! Just read, read, read. Have a blast and good luck!

I spent $800 in just under a week, would have been $1200 but I won some at the roulette table. Once you decide your budget I would advise you to bring it in travellers cheques and leave your credit card at home!

Shows are expensive around $90, trip to the Grand Canyon by plane, with helicopter ride $200, eating out can be a cheap or as expensive as you want it to be starting at about $15 for all you can eat buffet. Startosphere Roller Coasters are about $30 to ride them all. Aquarium at the Madelay Bay is about $25 I think. JD and coke can cost $10.I'm not sure how you'll manage to fill 2 weeks in vegas without gambling.

If you are going to gamble I would suggest learning to play Craps, certain bets on the craps table offer the best odds in the casino. Learn what they are and at worste you'll lose slowly and get plenty of free drinks!

First, you can enjoy Vegas without gambling. I gamble very little, less than 50 bucks a day and my wife doesn't gamble at all. Lots to do without gambling.

Second. The amount really depends on what you want to do.

vegas.com or lasvegas.com will give you ideas on shows, rooms, nightlife and the costs related to each

I plan on about 200 bucks a day for food, tips, taxi and a less expensive show. Does not take into account room or more expensive shows.

I always take extra money, just in case. I wind up putting money back into the bank when I get home.

Have fun.

The best way is to budget. You're planning on 2 weeks? (10 days?), For example,
gambling $100/day (yes, you'll probably gamble)= $1000.
Food ($24.95 for a good, cheap buffet) x 3 meals/day= $75/day= $750.
Hotel room, rates vary, so let's say you got lucky and it's $50/day x 2 weeks (10 days?), $500 .
Shopping (again this varies widely) $50/day (?), $500.
Shows and other attractions (varying prices again), $100/day, $1000.
Add it all up and it can be upward of $3750!
This is no joke, so plan accordingly and save where you can.
Check out the websites below for more. Good luck.

This is tough. Without actually knowing what your plans are, all I can offer is a guess. Usually for a week I tell people to bring $1000 to $1500. Of course that includes gambling, which as a rule runs around $100/day. Therefore for two weeks, count on at least $2000 to $3000. You can do it for less depending on how frugal (cheap) you intend to be. Just remember, "you get what you paid for", this is especially true in Vegas! Search around and check out the offers.

When we went we had two kids with us so couldn't gamble, but we still found things to do. Just walking up and down the strip soaking up the atmosphere is an experience. Most of the hotels have other attractions than casinos, e.g. there's a good aquarium at the Mandalay Bay and some of the hotels have mini roller coasters. I would have liked to have spent some time just watching people playing blackjack etc, but you're not even allowed to stop in the casinos if you have kids with you.

I don't remember spending that much, but we were only there for three days. Mostly we spent on restaurants, entrance to attractions and souvenirs. I don't remember entrance fees being that bad compared to other places in the US.

I'm told if you're going to gamble, the best thing to do is set yourself a daily budget. Once you've exceeded that budget get up, walk away and do something else. I'm also told that if you're gambling they pretty much provide your drinks for free because they want to keep you there. Don't know if that's true.

If you are going to be in Vegas for two weeks, there must be some purpose. I will assume you will be there for business and you just need money for fun.

$100 per evening should suffice for a good time. Some days you will spend less so that allows you to spend more on other days.

Why go to Vegas if you aren't going to gamble?
Bet you do lol

Have a daily budget and stick to it. say £100 a day (not including your accomodation) + £200 available from a cash point for emergencies. That would be £1600 (approx $3,200)

Hope you have a great time.
