My husband works out of town today. I'm off work and planning to do some cleaning around the house. He asked before he left if he could take my car today since I don't have to go anywhere and my car gets better gas mileage. I said "Yea, that works great because I'm going to clean closets and I can put the bags of throwaway stuff in your truck for you to take to the dump tomorrow."

So the minute I mention that I'm going to be working on something that I'll need him to do for me tomorrow, he decides to take his truck instead anyway.

Like that wasn't obvious.

It's rude for me to tell him I need him to go to the dump tomorrow after he just asked to take my car out of town for work and I will be spending the entire day cleaning out closets full of BOTH of our junk that has accumulated over the past 4 years?

Wow...

When they have something that is "theirs" actually it is the both of yours, but it is his toy, and they are protective of that!!!

I have my car, and he has his truck also, and he will not let me drive it, he drives his truck, and I drive my car, after fifteen years of marriage, he is protective of his toys:)

That is just the way they are :) that is why we love them so :) !!

Like I do not know how to "work" a "stick" LOL!!!

Just stack them where he parks his truck. Whe he gets home he will have to move them to park. I once set the garbage bag on the front seat of the car, because he kept "forgetting" to put the trash out.

He sound like a lazy ****. Tell him to act like a man or better yet you ask if it's alright with him for him to go to the dump and let him make decision as to what he will be doing tomorrow, so he is not dictated to by his wife. It kind of rude for you to tell him what to do, no wonder he avoiding such a request.

that's funny.......call Amvets next time, they come to your house and pick up stuff you can donate....he was worried some of his 'precious' stuff would be in those bags :) seems like they never want to get rid of stuff.......oh closet cleaning can be so satisfying, especially if you are in the get rid of it mood.....enjoy!

Our motto is:

I think thus I am ------

CONFUSED!

Reality is hard enough without bringing facts into the mix.

Are you just trying to be mean and tactfully. At least he asked, even if he didn't listen to well.

Men are what they are. You both sound passive agressive. Fun marriage.
