What Do You Think Of Kid Nation On CBS So Far??

It's Really Annoying Me Now Especially For When They Chose Michael Over Greg When For Everytime They Needed Help He Was There Helping And Anybody Could Have Unfroze The Water . When They Wanted Chicken He Even Helped With That Nobody Else Didn't Even Know How To Do What He Did..

What's Your Opinion On The Show????

I really like the show... the kids learn to work together, overall it will be a great experience for everyone... personally i think Greg should have gotten the gold star this week... i like Michael, true he did unfreeze the pipe, but anyone can do that. can anyone kill a chicken, pluck the feathers, and even help wash the dishes even though he's an upperclassman? so what if he was doing it just to get the gold star? that's what the gold star is supposed to do! to get the kids motivated to try harder! I think if Greg keeps helping the way he did on the last episode he will get a gold star for sure... but hopefully his temper won't get the best of him...( Greg's hot though... lol)

I think that's a really good point that Josh brought up about the cameras just conveniently being at their house for the phonecall. Who knows, maybe the council is supposed to make the decision before the town meeting thing, and then they just ...I don't know..run a camera over to their house! lol
I think Greg deserved the gold star over Michael. They would all probably have no chicken if he didn't step up to do it. It's too bad that he was freaking out on the previews for the next show, though. I think that if he continues what he's been doing, he'll have a really good chance of getting it.

Um...BBOwns...many send their kids away for a weeks at a time...it's called summer camp! I used to go to Girl Scout camp when I was that age, & the counselors left us alone for the most part. They just gave us some guidance & made sure we didn't get in any trouble.

The show wants the APPEARANCE of the kids running the town & the host guy popping up to give guidance every once in awhile...but in reality there were ALWAYS adults there! Do you think KIDS were doing the filming of the show?

I'm really enjoying the show & can't wait for the next episode! I wish I had the opportunity to do something like that when I was a kid! I think the show is setting a good example for young viewers & showing what kind of benefits come from hard labor, comradery, and teamwork!

The chicken thing WAS a little disturbing, but I think that's just because most of us aren't used to seeing stuff like that. But, I'm sure kids who live on farms kill chickens every day! Greg obviously knew what he was doing since he worked for a butcher, & he did it in the most humane way possible.

I'm looking forward to seeing the kids learn & grow!

I do not like it at all. I only watched the one episode where they had to kill the chickens. I thought it was unnecessary to kill the chickens. First of all, the kids must have not paid attention in health class because eggs have plenty of protein. Why they needed chicken for protein when they had eggs, i don't get!! They could have gone 40 days without chicken. I mean if the show had been 40 days without chicken they would have not killed them. I was disturbed that these 8-12 year olds had to watch the chicken get killed. I am only 15 and almost threw up since I had just eaten chicken. I will never eat chicken again now that I saw that. I know that is what happens and all but I don't think anyone needed to see that. It is ridiculous!

Greg wasn't helping just to help though, he just wanted it for the money. Michael seems to be truly concerned about doing well overall for all the kids and the whole project/experience and is not just wanting the money. He is quite mature in his suggestions and the way he handles outbursts within the meetings and such. They even showed previews for next week with Greg saying he was going to do something because he wasn't chosen to get the money - proof that he was just sucking up for the week. The annoying little kid on the red team (council guy) saw right through this and convinced them to make the right decision in gold star choosing.

I think the show is pretty good, though I get annoyed that certain kids seem to get more airtime than others. I can't wait to see someone kick that beauty queen's (yellow council member) butt for being such a lazy little slug.

You got two kids mixed up. Greg helped with the chickens but it was one of the town council kids who knew how to unfreeze the water pump.

I like the show even though you can tell much of it is staged (no doubt by adults), still the kids are learning to work together.

I like the show....but then again, I like most any reality show. I agree with you that they should have chosen Greg to get the gold star instead of Michael. He chopped of the chicken head. He knew how to get the feathers off...plus, even though he was upper class, he helped wash dishes. Even if he did it for the money, I think that's the point of the star, to motivate them to work hard. I'll continue to watch the show. Those kids can be pretty impresive and creative if you ask me....a stuffed animal "pet" daycare....who'd a thunk it?

I love this show, I think that Micheal deserved the star...I also think that Greg does. I think that the argument between Mike and Greg in the first episode might cloud their judgment. But, I think it's extremely entertaining - I don't think I would have been brave enough at that age to do something like that. Those kids are amazing!!

yeah micheal has helped diffuse situations and has given them good advice but greg did deserve the gold star this week if he hadn't killed the chickens i don't think any one else would've known how to do it. the only reason he didn't win is that one council member doesn't like him. and thats not fair. greg did start out on the wrong foot but he did come around and helped out a lot. micheal should take over the council seat for that one young girl. she thinks that she can do whatever she wants and uses the excuse that they are the youngest group.i hope certain council members remove their head from the sand before it's to late. but i think greg is going to do something this next week.

I love this show. I think the reason they passed Greg up for the gold star is because they seen that Michael has been helping since day 1 . Greg did not start helping out until he found out about the gold star. I'm sure if he keeps it up he will be getting one soon. And as far as the kids calling their parents I know it shows them running right over there but its TV. They probably make them wait until they get the camera crew in there. I don't think its staged and if people do they should just not watch!
