Hi, my boyfriend recently bought a wireless adapter for his computer, the software that came with it is useless though, so it's making it a real hassle connecting to our router. The thing on windows XP isn't very useful either so I was wondering is there some kind of free to download software that helps you to manage your wireless connections and could help? The software that came with it is by Belkin and makes it really hard to set up all the right settings like the password etc, we know the adapter is working because it has picked up our network with full strength.

Netstumbler is a great site survey program but is useless in managing your wifi connections. I dont know why you are having a problen using the wirelesszero config in windows XP. I use it and it works great. When you view wireless networks off to the right is an option that says "Change Prefered Networks". Try that.
