what kind of dvi cord do I need,monitor has three rows of 8 contacts ,and video card has the three rows of 8?

DVI-D to DVI-D.

If the monitor has a higher resolution than 1920 by 1200 then get a dual link cable. 1920 by 1200 or less a single link cable is fine.
