I dont. I know its the assylum seakers who get the benefits not the illegal immigrants. They have no rights here at all. Who is to say that the assylum seakers dont deserve it. We dont know what they have been through that they have had to flee there country. Surely they deserve care. But saying that there are a lot of assylum seakers who abuse the system and lets not deny that. Just like there are thousands of UK citizens who do that too.

Illegal immigrants do not get deported immediately, the majority are kept here on state money while there case is being reviewed, then if it is decided they are to be deported, they are again kept here and given benefits, food, etc, whilst there appeal is decided, again and again and again.
I am fully aware of the distinction between economic migration, asylum seeking and illegal immigration, and apart from a small controlled percentage of economic migration, I don't agree that this country should have any of it.
Maybe people do understand the difference, but 'lump' them all together for convienience when talking about it because none of them are desireable or wanted.
(And here come all the pathetic left wing idiots shouting racist.)
It is not racist to want to control the influx of people coming into your own country.
I believe that as long as a person has a qualification that inherently benefits this country, (doctor, nurse, teacher, etc) then they should be allowed to work here under the condition they have a job to come to and cannot claim any state benefits. Once a certain number has been reached, then no more should be allowed in. This will allow the British born doctors/nurses/teachers etc to have a chance to get a job too.
And this is not racist, I am sick and tired of liberal guardian reading morons shouting racist at every debate about this subject.
Oh, and I would like to add, if you want an example of the 'taking our jobs' stereotype, I'm a student nurse who because of the job freezes and deficits, will not be able to get a job in any NHS hospital in the country once I graduate unless I am really lucky or know enough people to get into dead mans shoes. YET THE SAME TRUSTS WHO WILL NOT EMPLOY US ARE SPENDING A FORTUNE ON EUROPEAN AND FORIEGN NURSES! I'm not saying they are not welcome, they are. But not at the expense of British born citizens. (And shock horror for all you liberal idiots, British born can include, black, brown, white, whatever, so that blows your racist thery out of the water. Idiots.)

You are right in what you say.But everyone flies to the reasons by these people of obtaining benefits, which of course is only one reason.Illegals and Assylum seekers come from countries with entirley different cultures than ours.Meaning they see no wrong in mugging an old lady,Prostitution, lying and cheating in order to stay alive the list is endless. As to will they ever change the answer is no they cannot it is instilled inside them. The benefit system is reasonably tight in the UK for fraudsters. We will be fighting this arguement for ever and it will never go away.

An asylum seeker is someone claiming asylum in the host nation and must prove they are fleeing on reasonable grounds - persecution, famine, war etc.- whilst illegal immigrants are individuals who enter and/or reside in the host nation without documentation or permission. Being an asylum seekers is not a crime, whilst in some countries, illegal residence is classed as a criminal offence. In the end, people are people.

Well said. I've often wondered that myself (- some even put anyone remotely foreign looking into the same category 'immigrant', even if they were born in the country) . I think it's down to ignorance. People should realise the difference between illegal immigrants, asylum seekers, legal immigrants, and natives.

i work for a transport company and when the illegals turn up on the backs of the trailers, the police have told us that they get sent to centres while they examine their circumstances and then deport them only if they have committed a crime (this is from the police in Northants, not made up by me). the problem is not that we are all raving racists here, its that we only have limited space/jobs etc in UK (we are a little island after all) so we do need some sort of limit to how many people can relocate here, not for race based reasons, but for space and practical reasons.

You state illegal immigrants don't get any rights here, or hand outs they are illegal after all. Solve the problem of illegal immigrants and you may reduce crime rates do you agree? After all they have to get money from somewhere, or do you think they are all honest and hard working ha ha.

because people dont want to listen, its as simple as that, people dont care about what the truth is they just read their papers like the daily mail and believe everyone who isnt white speaks with a british accent is an illegal immigrant!
Ive watched 3 young kids get chased down a street by older boys on bikes with them screaming 'get out of this f'ing country you immigrants'
I tried to get between the youngs kids and the people attacking them as they lived above the corner shop near me. once the kids were iside i asked the man, did he get this a lot and he said ever since he came to Britain for a better life, his kids were British!
its disgusting, people are so prejudice and idiotic!

The thing that you are forgetting is that asylum seekers should have the permission of the government to seek asylum in a particular country. If no permission is received they are illegal aliens (no matter how much that phrase bothers you).
