I would say that £60 is a fair price to pay for a coat. If thats what you can afford then go for it. Especially if it's something that you really want. Word from the wise though, Make sure you really can afford it. If the answer is NO. Then don't get it.
Have you considered second hand. You could probably get an excellent quality coat in a charity shop, for the fraction of the cost, as well as helping the charity, and the enviroment, it is a form of recycling after all. Get it dry cleaned and it will be as good as new.

Yes, I think £60 is a good amount to spend on a coat. It's an item of clothing that gets a lot of wear so it needs to be something you feel really good in and I think you should be able to find something like that for £60.

I've heard them say on programmes about fashion that what you should consider is the price per wear. So if you buy something for £60 and you wear it 60 times it cost you £1 for each time you wore it.

Yes it is enough to spend on a coat. If you are spending that much make sure that you like the coat.

Totally depends on the coat. You need to have a good close look at it, see how the lining/stitching/finish etc is. You can have a great quality coat for fifty pounds just like you can have a very crap one for over two hundred. Just check it over before you buy it.

yes it is. and yes the nicer ones will always cost more, but coats can cost anything from the £1 ones in the charity shops to ebay selling ones for half the cost, to primark at about £25 and designers selling them for thousands.

My coat costed £50 but it was on discount, it was £65 otherwise and I'm happy with it. Lat year I was bale to get one for my xmas pressie from my dad for £150, three years previous it was £250, when I was at school it was around £50 to £100 depedning on the style, the shop and the fabric.

No I buy to coats a year one for spring/summer and one for autum/winter. The spring/summers one I spend about £25-40 on. But my winter one I spend upto £120 as it will last all winter and sometimes the year after.

If you spend less than £50 it doesn't last and could end up spending that money again on another one before winter is out.
