As an Englishman who owns many USA based companies i feel i must ask this.
All i read on this site is Americans are cowards, Americans are stupid,Americans are fat,Americans etc etc etc
I control many of these American types on a daily basis and i believe that they are none of the above. Many of my Americans are kind gentle people who work very hard when pushed. The Americans who i control make great and model employees and i would recommend them for anyone hoping to start a business.
I hope this post "bucks the trend"when it comes to how we feel about Americans.

I think you are taking the comments too literally. Yes, in a lot of cases Americans can be obese, yes they can also be naive about world events, presumably because the media over there is so wrapped up in its own country it doesn't give out enough information about the rest of the world. Some Americans do appear "gentle" but this could also be taken to be "weak". One thing which really winds us English up though is the fact that when visiting other countries the Americans don't bother to find out if they are visiting a Town, City or Village and encompass the whole lot as "City" please could they make an effort to find out what they are visiting before they open their rather LOUD mouths.

Yes,I can well guess that you will hit Iran but the consequences of doing so will be horrendous! Do you for one moment think that other countries are not waiting for an excuse like that to use their nukes on the Good Old US of A? You are the undisputed masters of friendly fire and thinking you can goosestep your way around the world lead by a nutter called George Dubbya Bush who is still a good buddy to lapdog Blair.

Vietnam was one of your great victories, I suppose because, after all said and done, Fukkin Rambo kicked **** ***, huh! You could not get out of Hanoi quick enough and you left a whole nation to feel the wrath of the NVC. You ran like rabbits which is nothing the British army has ever done. The little yellow man kicked your butt and they were nothing but simple farmers who had their homes and families destroyed by your fearless troops.

Yes,I do believe, perhaps, that yanks make good employees but is it really safe to trust one with a toilet brush?

I don't know why most of these countries who we give money and protection to are cruel to us, but as for England, no surprises there. The English are just cruel people. Just ask the Scots, the Irish, the Welsh, the Australians, the Indians, the Pakistanis, the Africans, and (if we didn't kick you out of here) the Americans. I know you know nothing of all this cruelty. Apparently, the only things you study in your history classes are Robin Hood, King Arthur, and the occasional war with an over-aggressive France (as if over-aggressive, and France go together. Maybe against Greenpeace, but not against anyone with guns)
So yes, the English are cruel Mo Fos, and have been since William the Conqueror.

Ladymoonlight, Here we are once again. You have never have a kind word about America, and yet we're the bigots. Your a hypocrite of the highest order. Just because you hide your answers (I would too if I were you) doesn't mean we don't know how your polluted mind works.
I also noticed that you didn't have a comment on my assessment on your history classes. You made it clear that no one there studied the American revolution. You seemed rather proud of your ignorance. Maybe I'm not the one who needs a history book.
Or maybe you would just rip out the pages and use them as bar rags.

Oh my, look at all the hateful responses you've gotten so far!
Personally, I am who I am, I could care less what others think of me. I think a lot of other Americans probably feel the same way - maybe I'm wrong about that though.
I think there's got to be a hint of jealousy from people living in other countries - we air our dirty laundry in public which makes us seem like complete idiots, yet we always seem to come out on top. I can see where people might be angry by that.

As an American, I appreciate your comment. The term "American" is such a broad generalization as well. Just like any other place on the planet - we have good people and bad people. Unfortunately, the bad people are in power at this time, which gives all of us a bad name. But trust me, the good guys are going to re-gain control soon. Our "leaders" DO NOT represent the American majority, that's for sure!!!

It is not the Americans, it is America as symbolized by their leaders. They are draculas, so cruel on the rest and they are spilling and guzzling the blood of others all over the world. The fault of the Americans is that most them do not appear to see much wrong with this.
But what most of us fail to understand however, is that we need to forgive the average American 'cos the problem is that contratry to the deafening crooning about freedom, he is deliberately uninformed or misinformed about this, information is filtered and he is fed with what govt., policy makers and the hawks want him to know.
He is therefore kept in the dark as to why he is hated and the same deceptive system has psyched him to believe that it is just 'cos of one thing--"his freedom" (read G. Bush).
N.B. I do not hate them and i mean it.

badmotherrucker or whatever you're called -

OK so the "English" are "cruel" you say? Ask the "Scots, Irish, Welsh" I hear you say?

Ok well I'm Welsh and . . . sorry but nope I don't agree that the "English" are "cruel" at all. I share my life with one of em and he's the sweetest man on earth! So shut your bigotted cakehole, "mate".

Oh and William the Conqueror was a FRENCH NORMAN you idiot, not "English". Read a fricking history book or don't they have them in America?

As for why we're so cruel to Americans, Sid, well I think they enjoy it!!

Glad to see you now own several companies. I'm expecting to hear you've been made President very soon, lol!

Because the hate Americans get is rightfully deserved. Were holier than thou hipocritical people who brag and brag about our freedom and try to force it down the throats of people with military power.
