I thought that the Mccanns had hired a company called CRG to check out sightings in other countries and they had the photo before it was released to the press. Are CRG money well spent? The journalist found them and verified the information in about a day

scarymary - well you might feel that acting so covertly that you never obtain any information is not that useful. CRG are meant to be the best, ex sas or something, whats the point of them investigating in other countries (what they were employed to do) if they're not able to do that because they're not moroccan (or african, or spanish, or...etc etc etc)

Rashid was not in Morocco already, the Standard sent him out there. He found them quickly because Standard journalists rock (I should know, I was one until a year ago!).

You didn't mention that the Journo that flew from London to Morocco is Moroccan did you?

Maybe the fact that he is Moroccan and a journalist helped. After all Controlled Risks Group operate covertly.

EXCLUSIVE!
The papers are searching for top stories all the time!
They are multi million pound businesses that employ people around the world.
They can pay locals for information and people would also help for free as it may get them in the paper.

Police and private eyes are distanced from the locals so it's harder for them to get information.

As for CRG's money being well spent.
They are still involved in the search so I think it is well spent.

The McCann Team knew all about this photo weeks ago. They knew it wasn't Maddy and that's why they never went to Morocco . These pics were only released to the papers after the event to again try to divert attention by the McSpins to the fact that Maddy may still be alive.

This picture had been around a month and was discredited within 24 hrs of its public release.

"The Mcanns are waiting for face mapping experts" we were told.

Are we really supposed to believe they have done nothing about this before?

Really if they are trying to put on a good PR display it seems they are failing at every turn. Now we read fund payments were used to fund living expenses.

I really do not understand what they are trying to achieve because it all seems to be breeding contempt and little effort is going into actually finding their daughter, it would seem.

The McCanns obviously knew there was no way the child was Maddie so why waste any money checking it out. They know what happened that night. I just wish someone could find some proof

Its interesting to note they have gone from being 'a Morrocan Gang' to 'Berber family' in the space of 24hrs.....

I am sure you didn't write Morrocan gang comments but honestly, yesterday I wondered about the intelligence of some of the people on YA - that poor family having hordes of journos descending on them.

We ought to be ashamed of the way our press behave and our racist views on other nations.

Maybe the McCanns did find the family and didnt give the info to the press because the press hasnt been very kind to them.
Arent you bored yet of making assumptions about them?

I will tell you what I believe -- I believe this link. NOTE PLEASE that the colour of the blouse on the north african photo is RED as is the colour of Madeleine on the official picture.
Some one is trying (badly) to pull a fast one on us, LOL

Besides, it is rather difficult to pretend you're still looking for a missing child you know is already dead !!!!
God bless Medeleine.
