Is State spelled with a capital or lower case 's'?

As in the State of Arizona. Or, "from one State to another State".

It depends on the context.

When referring to the "State of Arizona" that is its full name, and so state should be capitalised there.

But in normal use - such as "from one state to another state", it should not be capitalised.
