The only way to redeem our world is to rid it of ultra selfishness and short-sightedness. This will ensure that matters of collective interest and longer term importance are not ignored for the sake of individual benefit and urgent results. This will also eradicate another major flaw in the current outlook.... giving quantity a higher priority over quality.

I have answered what is to be done, because unfortunately I have no idea how it is to be done... had I known that, I would have made a beginning long ago towards the all important task. I am still stating what needs to be done in the distant hope that perhaps someone else may be able to find the way forward!!

By working on yourself. Becoming a well read and informed person. By understanding that we are all individuals, that other religions and ideas exist, and accepting that.
Fighting the important issues that face us right now, like global hate, racism, and genocide.
By getting a good education to affect change in the right way, and having a voice in the way our country should be going.
Educating yourself on the world and our country's issues and voting accordingly.
Being a good and loving parent and raising children that will be a asset to the world not a liability.
Think wisely, explore every opportunity that life has to offer us. Always walk a mile in the shoes of some one you want to judge immediately by what you hear or see.
Always keep perspective.

Oviously its all starts at home. School next, as teachers play a very important and major part in our children's lives. So we have to set good examples for everyone we meet and have a chance to communicate with. Often times i've been out and people seems so sad, not smiling you know. Like the whole world is on their shoulders you know. Smile gives people hope. We have to treat everyone as equals i think. Share, Show love. I think a good start would be something like: Meet your neighbours day. I think this would be a great start. I mean, where's all the trust gone? So coming together as a community is a good start, then we go on from there.

I was reading a book once about a man, I've forgotten who, I may remember later.
Anyway, he tried to make the world better place in the 1940's but everyone kept stopping him. Apparently, he built big resorts, as big as CITIES to keep all the good people inside and they had big ovens where they made pizzas and they had showers everyday, and they had meals everyday and the babies were looked after.
Unfortunately, he got very depressed because people were horrible to him and then he killed himself.

improve eduction

help others, but also help yourself -- develop intellectual interests and health hobbies that make you feel content. It'd make you feel better and stronger. Then you can head out and make others feel better and won't be too affected by the negative things of the world...

by being a better person to yourself and others. be kind, giving, unselfish, if someone is hungry, feed them, if someone is sad, make them laugh, give someone a smile and make them feel better., give peace a chance instead of harsh words or deeds. if everyone gave an eye, for an eye, the world would be blind. think about it. mztrylady2u@yahoo.com.
