I also am not crazy about the government there but all of the Iranian people I know have been very nice and surprisingly funny.They are human just like anyone else.
My good friend who I have known for 40 years married an man from Iran when she was only 17 and he was 27. he was in the states going to college.They are now grandparents of 6 American kids and her husband has been a good husband for her.They both fell in love at first sight, I know because I was with her when she met him at an amusment park we were at.
I have worked with several people fromIran and they are hard workers,the ones I know came from weathly Iranian families and are now just average Americans.

I don't like the Iranian government at all, but I don't know enough about Iranian citizens to make an opinion.

There is nothing wrong with Iranians. Americans are upset with their government. America needs to mind their own business and stay out of the bacyards of other countries. The USA has thousands of people living on the streets, kids that dont have adequet education and healthcare, but we have the nerve to try to lead by example and get mad when other countries try to defend their culture.

The iranian people i've met are fine but your government sucks. They don't respect other people's right to chose their own religion and are very brutal and inhumane. They basically have brought Iran back to the middle ages.

I am sure most of the americans have formed a bad opinion about Iranian people withour ever knowing any Irani, without knowing history of persia, without knowing where exactly Iran is location and without knowing the clear cut stance of Iran govt. on nuclear issue.

High level of intelligence, skills, humour and kindness -
To people who never met any of them : how can you express an opinion or just say : not better, not worse - it's partly false, if you only consider their civilization and the fact that as Persians they were major even before roman time.
And don't forget Persians are not arabic - they are just persian
