I think you mean moray eel? they are very dangerous to humans but won't attack unless provoked,1.) When bitten by an eel it will usually not let go. Pulling away from it will make the skin tear. To get the eel to let go, you should try to lure it away with a fish or just cut its head off and pry it off.

2.) After the eel has been taken care of, clean the afflicted area with clean water. Remember not to sew or close the wound.

3.) Most eel bites get infected so get to the doctor immediately for a check-up.

Moray Eels are not particularly dangerous to humans,if one understands their situation. I have seen and petted Green Morays in the wild, and find them to be fairly tame. Green Morays can be as large as 8 feet long. Eels do not normally bite humans as a matter of course. The problem is they have poor eyesight and if hungry, will bite any thing that moves in front of them. People who approach them too closely and wave their hands in front of the eel's mouth are likely to get a nasty bite. Morays are no more dangerous to informed people than pet dogs. They can become acclimated to the presence of divers and become quite friendly.
Morays, like Piranhas are largely misunderstood and suffer from a dangerous appearance and "bad press".

Are you planning on letting one bite you? If so, I'd advise against it, it's not too pleasant!

The normally don't bit unless provoked, or startled. So steer clear, and you'll be fine!!

Good luck!!! ;o)
