In the age of the cave man it is believed that they wore animal skins when it was cold and nothing when it was hot.

Trousers, as we know, are a creation of XV century, Before were used what in Italian call "Calzabraghe", Pantaloons, tied to the underwear, so you can be comfortable both in winter and in summer : in winter pantaloons up, in summer down...
This king of primitive, but very confortable, troser was introduced in roman empire while expanding in the central european region, where climate was chiller.
"Modern" trouser were introduced in the end of XVIII century by French Revolution. "Sans Coulottes" meant people with normal "Long Trousers" and was synomous to people of revolution.
