We might be compelled to think that Cricket Players get more benefits. But, if the public interest is towards cricket than any other sport, then what's wrong in that. We should feel sorry for other sports people, but let them come up with more remarkable & consistent performance and hog the limelight. Then automatically the sports loving public will have their attention towards them, which eventually will result in monetary benefits.

While Government should consider all sports alike and whoever bring glory to the country should be treated alike irrespective of which sports and there should not be any difference in the awards and prize money given to players, the same cannot be the case as far as the gifts and monetory incenties given to the players by their Organisations. Since BCCI is the richest sports organisation in the world and as the prize money they got from the world cup is quite high as compared to other sports, they can easily afford to give lavish gifts and incentives to the players who have won the world cup. Unfortunately other sports organisations inn India are not so rich and as such cannot afford to give such incentives and gifts to their players.

BCCI is giving more money to cricketers because they are earning from cricket.
But when govt is doing this like they did in Karnataka. They given prices to cricketers but not to hockey players. That is absolutely wrong. This is sort of discrimination. This should be avoided.

we are the reason for that. because most of us watching cricket & in india majority of the people likes cricket. so the companies ready to invest money in cricket by giving the sponsership for the players. but not that much for hockey or football. so cricket becomes a highly paid game in india.
so we are the main reason for that........
