He once was suspended 7 games for threatening referee Tim Donaghy after a home game in 2003. Yes, the corrupt referee who was rigging NBA games. Did Rasheed know that the ref was a total crook?

Unfortunately, Rasheed has threatened every referee after every game, so I'm afraid he might've cried wolf a few too many times to have any credibility.

Just imagining the look on his face after the whistle blows pisses me off.....

The confrontation Rasheed had with that crooked ref was *after* the game, something 'sheed rarely, if ever, done before.

My understanding is that Rasheed Wallace complains to officials during games, but it's about the game and during the game... This guy is technical foul king (41, NBA Record I think), but his skill far outshines his short fuse with officials.

The day he had his confrontation with the ref was well before any allegations regarding game tampering was made.

So yes, I believe Rasheed Wallace knew what was up before Tim Donaghy was caught out.

He may have his banter and arguments with refs night in and night out, but there was something else to make Sheed confront the Tim Donaghy *after* the game.

Excellent point Corona!

It might be interesting to go back and see which, if any, players complained specifically about Tim Donaghy AT THE TIME, (but discount opinions from guys like Rasheed who's JOB seems to be to complain about the officials and try to show them up on the court).

I remember this. Rasheed complained that Donaghy was cheating to make the Grizzlies win the game.

If Rasheed knew anything, he would have focused his energy on playing basketball instead of running up technicals and getting high. He could have been a Hall of Famer.

the saying goes dogs can sense evil...so yea he probably did...most players probably knew something was up but couldn't say anything since D. Stern comes down so hard with the littlest thing said about the refs...maybe he should listen to the players in his league more
