Joe Francis is in jail for contempt of court here in Bay County, Florida. He is still awaiting trial for filming underage girls involved with sexual activity in Panama City Beach during spring break a couple years ago. The girls appeared in the tape "Girls of Spring Break". He also has tax evasion problems hanging over his head in Nevada.

He was apparently in contempt of court. There have been other instances, like sexual abuse allegations... but he was in jail for 35 days for contempt.
