I know people with money who are not happy because money is a double edge sword, if you use it in a wrong way, it can bring more harm than good. I know people who have power but they are not happy because with power come responsibility and responsibility meant headache. I know beautiful people who are not happy because others will use them and they won't know who like them for themselves. So I concluded that if things always go your way, always happened the way you want it to happen then you will be happy, and that is being lucky.

I disagree, unless you think attitude is down to luck. I think we can choose to embrace life or fear it, to delight in what we have and in our own ability to work for what we want, or to resent that nobody hands us life on a plate.

Most of the happy people I know accept, embrace and work with life. Even when things don't go their way they look for the best they can get in the situation. They do the same for people, which makes them nice to be around. I try and adopt their attitude as much as I can. It isn't always easy, but it works for me.

So for me, positive attitudes equal happiness and negative ones equal misery.

Some people get a whole pile of money (lucky) then end up unhappy.

Someone people get in an accident, lose their legs. Then win a gold medal at the para-olympics, meet lots of hot girls etc.

There is no good or bad luck, rather it is what you make of it. If I dump a pile of s h i t on your lap, do you get angry or say, thanks I can now fertilise the roses in my bag yard.

Happiness is making choices and accepting the consequences of our choices. If we cheat on our wife with a beautiful blond then our wife may find out.

Everything going your way is about power. We use power to avoid the consequences of our choices. We lie, cheat, steal, oppress to keep our own way. We become more and more desperate to avoid the consequences of our choices and it is a negative cycle that will eventually destroy us.

Happiness is not about playing the odds.

Happiness is living in grace.
luck does not come into it.

Money comes in and goes out
Love happens then dissolves
power controls then corrupts
If one uses people they will in turn be used
life is like that, it is made that way
Gravity is God

Happiness is living in grace, understanding the cyclic nature, respecting gravity, loving god.

Hapiness with oneself, regardless of life situation is what brings hapiness. Money, wealth, possession, luck should have nothing to do with it.
