You are right I believe. It does take once, twice, maybe more times to learn a response/action to correct a life proceedure. Those that consider you to be foolish are not secure within.
Usually, an experienced and switched-on person would assist in a manner that was courteuos and encouraging. I've found the most loyal and productive future emplyees/leaders were made aware of their proceedural errors.
Everyone makes errors from time to time! Those that assist regain 100 fold!

Because it is easy to think someone else a fool for not learning a lessons we learned on our first try….especially if we forget those lessons it took a few times to learn, which very often happen to be the ones they learned on thier first time around. We are all different in what we find easy and hard to learn, and the hardest thing to learn is that not everyone else is just like me

The answer lies in the legal profession. How many times does it take the average attorney to pass the bar exam? More than twice.

Because it is easier to criticize someone rather than support them. People are always quick to point out our flaws. It has taken me more than twice on a few things.

People tend to specialize in something or other and often become experts in a particular field. When they try to explain something which is clear to them, because they have given a lot of time to that particular issue, they think is should be clear to everybody else. Their statement is always: "It is easy". My usual answer to that is: "Easy is everything you know, complicated: everything else".

Some people are just too judgmental.
When people point out your flaws,it's often because your flaws remind them of their own.
