After all, he has publicly supported 2 people who are the main suspects in the disappearance and possible murder of their daughter. Two people who have ripped off thousands of people cleverly asking for money to look for their daughter, then making sure with their clever lawyers that they can spend the money on themselves. Two people who are growing more and more unpopular by the hour due to their moneygrabbing and evasive behaviour. People suspect that the McCanns are going to evade charges, even with all the evidence accumulating against them because they have friends in high places and the average Joe public doesn't like it. Well that is my opinion what do you think. Please don't start with the insults, just give me your opinion. There is room on here for everyone.

If you dont trust politicians and believe the support of the McCanns by government is at best misguided you can abstain.

That does not mena not voting. Go the polling station and on your ballot paper write why you sre not voting for any of the candidates. The returning officer must read this out when giving the results.

Your voice can be heard.

I don't know whether it will affect Gordon Brown or not but the question that has always bugged me is why have the McCanns had so much high level support right from the start? It is not even as though they are Harley St doctors or were well known before Madeleine disappeared.

Well at least Laura Bush declined a meeting with Gerry. What do you think Blair would have done? Just curious! When Blair was on and Brown in there were alot of happy people on here? Is that still the case I wonder? Not just because of the McCann thing but because alot of things. I see Brown on here being insulted as much as Blair still is.

You refer to the McCanns as 'two people who have ripped off thousands of people' and as 'moneygrabbing' and you don't think you should be insulted. You make me sick.

Anyone with the slightest bit of compassion and an understanding of the basic human right to be assumed innocent until proven guilty would not be deterred from voting for Brown because of his support for the McCanns.

There is no evidence. The Portuguese police have been leaking 'information' to the press all along while gagging the McCanns with their confidentiality laws.

Grow up and learn to distinguish between fact, speculation and rumour.

After he has waited for some 10 years for the job of Prime Minister, I very much doubt he will call an election! He will wait until the normal time rolls round.

As to the Madeleine connection, I doubt we shall ever know exactly what happened, so the parents remain suspects even though they may be totally innocent. Rather like others - Michael Barrymore comes to mind.

I could give you my opinion, where is your evidence to prove they have done nothing more than neglect their child. they have not been charged with the disappearance of their daughter, if and when that happens then il sympathise with your views until then they are innocent of any crimes except neglect as fo the prime minister supporting them. i would expect him to

No it won't as most people do not care about the McCann's and are sick of hearing about them.

What should cost Gordon votes are his lies, deceit and broken promises: open Government, listening to the people, honest and independent citizen's juries, EU referendum... etc etc.... All lies! Added to his support for a war based on more lies, and his terrible handling of the economy. The country has a domestic debt of over a trillion pounds. Any economy would "feel" good when getting into that level of debt, but it is a false economy, it has to be paid back and this could lead to the deepest recession for very many decades.

If I borrowed 10,000,000 pounds, I would feel very rich, until the bank wanted the 10,500,000 to be repaid!

The economy has not grown because of an increase in productivity, in fact manufacturing output is in decline, but borrowing is exploding. When the time comes to "pay the piper" there will be nothing left.

He raided pensions then allowed people to use "buy to let" to prop up the pensions, (that he had already stolen from). As more and more people jumped on that bandwagon, property prices rose, so people had to borrow more and more to get on board. As property prise kept rising, people used this as a way to raise revenue to supplement their income, for luxury purchases and other debt repayment.

Whilst property prices rise, people can keep living beyond their means in massive numbers, as encouraged by Mr Brown, under the guise of a sound and growing economy, and use their property value as a means to reschedule and off-set excessive debt. In fact many people are now having to use credit to supplement their incomes as inflation (real, not government lies) is spiraling.

The problem is when property values begin to fall, and the credit squeeze hits, people will no longer be able to expand their income to match the interest on their borrowing. That is when the economic game of musical chairs falls silent and everyone dashes for chairs that are no longer there.

Gordon Brown has willingly taken credit for the boom-times (which have been entirely based on the easy credit economy), he should also therefore be to blame when it all collapses; but he will lie and spin and blame everybody else. He will spin it as a knock on from the US sub-prime collapse and blame some irresponsible lenders and borrowers, but he was directing the system which, not only allowed and benefited from such irresponsibility, but actively demanded and relied upon it.

Everything about him is spin and image. he has NO substance whatsoever. The idea that he is competent is the biggest piece of spin of all! He is a lying opportunist. In fact I would not be at all surprised if he announced a snap election on the day of Cameron's speech to the tory party conference.

He will do anything to take the attention away from others and falsely put it on himself. I say falsely because whenever he announces anything, it always gets prime positive coverage in the media, then someone examines it closely and notices the small print, the truth and it is always a lot less positive than the original announcement.

He should have a huge asterisk next to him for every time he opens his mouth. and should carry a sign saying *announcements may not live up to expectations.
** this is not a promise

I cannot understand why the media give this clown the time of day. I mean really! Even David Icke speaks more truth than Gordon Brown and look how the media treats him!

Everytime Gordon is interviewed, the media should ask for his announcements and say, we will not show these on TV untill we have had our legal department investigate and show that these are accurate and honest announcements. If that happened, we would never see Gordon on TV again!

No. Political animals don't usually vote with their brains. They act like members of a religion or hard line football supporters. Wouldn't matter what their "chosen party" supported, they will vote for them. That's why we are in such a mess. People vote with their hearts not their brains most of the time. If they did vote with their brains, then power may return to the electorate instead of the politicians.

He did not support two suspects; he supported and expressed sympathy for a couple who lost their child. I would not expect any less from the head of state. I would also like to add that Brown has his eyes on the Holy Grail of British politics (the Middle England vote) - The majority of which support the couple.
