If it's pronounced exactly like a common name, it's a common name, because almost all the usage of your child's name will be out loud for many years. All your "special" "unique" "cute" spelling will do is make your child's life hell.

You should also be aware that variations on "Jayden" account for a vast proportion of questions on here. I suspect that it'll be the most common name in his/her class when he/she hits kindergarten age. If you don't believe me, just scroll back through the questions... The most "unique" J name you could give a child right now is probably John.

Jaelyn for a girl and Aiden for a boy. Going with the most common way to spell a name will really help the child when they make it to school. Coming from someone with a name that is NOT spelled common, your child would be correcting it for the rest of their life. Not so fun. Both of those are fairly obvious as to the pronunciation and are spelled 'logically'.

Girl: Jaelyn - I think it's the best spelling and looks the nicest and people shouldn't have a problem with how it's pronounced.

Boy: Aiden - It's one of my fave boy names! Jayden and Caden are becoming to over used and I think Jordyn is better suited to a girl.

Good luck!
