Of course President Emilio Aguinaldo is the first President in the Philippines during the Independence Day it's June 12, 1898 in Kawit,Cavite,Philippines and while President Manuel L.Quezon is the First President during the Constitutional Government of the Commonwealth since in 1920's

Historically it is Emilio Aguinaldo but prior to becoming the REPUBLIKA NG PILIPINAS,

However, In the Kartilya (Constitution) ng Katipunan, Bonifacio called the Philippines not Republika ng Pilipinas but Republika ng Katagalogan and was the first President for this Republic known as Katagalogan.

But we nowadays refer to Aguinaldo as the Official First Philippine Republic.
